Let’s Take A Shot in the Dark
Hi! Welcome back to the inside scoop on my life as Olly September!!
Today’s blog is about this new game I played over the weekend with my friends! It is called A Shot in the Dark. It was so fun and interactive that I wanted to tell you all about it.
Instead of writing a summary of how the game is played or giving you all a game pitch, I figured I would make it more fun. I have made themed drink recipes to go along with each character and the game, itself. (If you are not 21 years old, I will also be adding non-alcoholic versions of each drink, as well).
So Let’s just dive right in! Let’s take A Shot in the Dark.
A Shot in the Dark is a noir, murder mystery game. This text-based game is based in a whole in the wall bar in Chicago, Illinois called Sandy’s Bar and Lounge. As you all may have guessed, the bar is run by Sandy, which leads us into our next themed drink, Bloody Paradise.
At Sandy’s Bar and Lounge, you can always find Bradley McNeil. Bradley was recently let go from the company he works for and can be seen drinking away his pain and sadness.
Another regular at Sandy’s is Hank Harris. He works for Eloise Van Adler, and he would never be caught dead drinking Sangria. He is a straight whiskey kind of guy.
Last suspect in question is Eloise Van Adler, the face of the Van Adler Corporation, and someone who is in some deep financial troubles. She would never associate herself with a bar like Sandy’s Bar and Lounge, but shady business calls for shady bars.
Now that I have introduced all of the characters, who do you think is the murderer? If you want to find out for yourselves, here is the link to the A Shot in the Dark file:///Users/oliviassawyer/Downloads/A%20Shot%20in%20the%20Dark(4).html.
I won’t tell who it is? I plead the fifth. ;)
